God has sent missionaries from FBC to several countries around the world: Bosnia, France, Philippines, Russia, Dominican Republic, Japan, and SOME places we just can't reveal for security reasons. These are just a few of the many countries that our missionaries have been, and many are still serving.
Psalm 62:7 says: "Send us around the world with the news of Your saving power and Your eternal plan for all mankind." (Living Bible). Want to be a part of God's Team?
Here are ways you can join God on mission:
- Pray for FBC Missionaries
The most important support you can give your FBC missionaries is PRAYER! We receive e-mails from our missionaries periodically so that we can be informed in our praying.
- Find out What God is Doing to Reach the Unreached
Did you know that there are still people groups in the world that don't have Bibles in their native language? Did you know that there are over 2,100 people groups totaling 1.7 billion people who are "unreached?" Do you know what it means when we say a people group is "unreached?" We hope to partner with God and Southern Baptist missionaries in reaching some of these unreached people groups. You can be a part of what God is doing! Find out more!
- Give to Missions
Missionaries rely on faithful financial support of our church family and others to enable them to continue working in the mission fields to which God has called them, planting churches, sharing the Gospel, giving their entire lives to God's work. "How will they preach unless they are sent? How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!" (Romans 10:15) You can give over and above your regular tithes to help support our current missionaries and send others to needy parts of the world.
- Meet With the Missions Council
A group of church members and staff meet to pray for missionaries, and plan for additional missionary involvement by First Baptist Church, Lebanon. The meetings are open to any interested adults.
